The next thing that was to be decided was a company to include at the beginning of the opening. This is usually a company like 'Paramount Pictures' or 'Warner Brothers Pictures'. This allows the audience to know who has created the film and can find others films by the same brand if they like what was created the first time. Furthering on this idea the company's usually uses the same actors as well due to them being signed to the company, so it makes them know who to look out for in the opening.
The company's that I looked at commonly used an image which had text placed in the clouds to make the logo stand out as well as it fits well for the company in that idea.
Looking at these production company logos you can see two distinct styles the image is either blending in with the background as with 'Paramount Pictures' or for the others they are trying to standout instead. This suggests that they are trying to tell the audience immediately that they created the film, as this would give them credit.
Other people's opinions:
When asking people what they thought about the production logos, people chose which one they preferred, and the reason's behind it. This gave me the information I needed to know what would work well when it comes to creating the of my productions company.
Person 1:
The first person I got the opinion of was telling me how they preferred the 'Dream Works' logo because they do not use too much on the image, and they have stayed in a colour theme of which is different shades of blue with white from the clouds. This is also incorporating it to allow the logo to fit with the others, however is still very different. The main reason for saying this is because the logo presents the kid like image which shows who they maybe targeting the film towards.
Person 2:
When asking the other person they gave a very different idea to which production company that they preferred. The one that they preferred was 'Paramount Pictures' because they said that it looks the best with the colours and how the image is blended well together. Adding on to this the thought of a very basic font to show that they didn't want too much detail on the company, but still something that they wanted to try and remember.
Person 3:
The next person that would give me there opinion on the production company told me that they liked the logo of the company '20th Century Fox'. This is because it included the best images and is the most common company that is known. Furthering on this idea the '20th Century Fox' is the company that is well known due to the idea behind it being at the beginning of most films. It is thought to be rare that most people have not seen it. Another thing that was said about the company production logo was the idea behind the colour and how this was a similar to 'Paramount Pictures' with the idea of using purple tones.
Other people's thoughts:
The reason for getting other peoples brief opinion is because of the reason for the three people who went into detail chose very different company's from one another. The decision of which was preferred was not made any easier. Furthering on to the idea of what this chart is telling me, is that the people easily preferred the company logo of 'Paramount Pictures'. This suggests that the basic ideas and the colours work well for what people would rather look for at the beginning of a film. The idea then advances into the idea of the thoughts that people know that this is one of the company's that has a good reputation when it comes to what they have made before as well as the idea as it has been put together to not be to over powering to look at.
